Offsets do most of the work. A pocket is cleared by offsets of its outline for a 6 mm end mill, a laser-cut box gets its kerf compensated, and a slicer turns each layer of a STEP part into perimeters and infill and writes the G-code. Gear cutting subtracts a rack cutter in every position, and stencil lettering finds the islands inside letters and bridges them so that nothing falls out. Two examples work from a design table. One draws a production drawing for every size of a flange series, and the other fills the table itself, writing a motor plate's web for every slot length to a CSV file.
